SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Among the companies whose shares are expected to
see active trade in Monday’s session are Sprint Nextel Corp., Fluor Corp. and
McDermott International Inc.
Sprint Nextel (S) is expected to report first-quarter earnings of 2 cents a
share, according to analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
Fluor (FLR) is estimated to report a profit of $1.26 a share in the first
quarter, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research.
McDermott (MDR) is expected to report earnings of 56 cents a share in the first
quarter, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research.
Clearwire Corp. (CLWR) is forecast to post a loss of 94 cents a share in the
first-quarter, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research.
Valspar Corp. (VAL) is projected to post a fiscal second-quarter profit of 42
cents a share, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research.
MBIA Inc. (MBI) is projected to post a first-quarter loss of 19 cents a share,
according to analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
Radian Group Inc. (RDN) is estimated to report a loss of $2.13 a share in the
first quarter, according to analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
Doral Financial Corp. (DRL) is estimated to report a loss of 44 cents a share in
the first quarter, according to analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. (SIRI) is forecast to post a loss of 7 cents a share
in the first quarter, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research.
XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. (XMSR) is expected to report a loss of 40 cents
a share in the first quarter, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research.
LDK Solar Co. (LDK) is likely to report a first-quarter profit of 39 cents a
share, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research.
Winn Dixie Stores Inc. (WINN) is likely to report a fiscal third-quarter profit
of 21 cents a share, according to analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
Bally Technologies Inc. (BYI) is expected to report fiscal third-quarter earnings
of 47 cents a share, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research.
Isis Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ISIS) is forecast to post a loss of 12 cents a share
in the first-quarter, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research.
After Friday’s closing bell, FedEx Corp. (FDX) cut its fiscal fourth-quarter
earnings forecast, citing a spike in fuel costs. The company is now projecting
earnings for the period ending May 31 of $1.45 to $1.50 a share, down from a
previous outlook of $1.60 to $1.80 a share. On average, analysts surveyed by
Thomson Reuters predict fourth-quarter earnings of $1.69 a share. Fuel expenses
jumped $100 million, or 7%, since the company made its initial forecast, and have
outpaced fuel surcharges, FedEx said.
