Pursue your happiness. Government is NOT there to give it to you!!

“We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”. This is our U.S. Declaration of Independence almost completely written by Thomas Jefferson, July 1776.
First: Men are endowed by their Creator these rights. That’s right folks, unlike what is taught in our Government run schools, these were G_d fearing, Christian men that believed ONLY THE CREATOR GAVE US THESE UNALIENABLE RIGHTS. Remember, rights given by men can be TAKEN AWAY by men, rights given by the Creator CAN NOT be removed; alienated from us!!
Second: Notice the last of the quote: “…… and the Pursuit of Happiness”. Government is NOT THERE TO MAKE US HAPPY!
Laws are passed and enforced, for the common good (that means the majority of people for those who STILL do not know what the common good means) and a National Defense is set up for our protection so WE CAN PURSUE HAPPINESS!

Based on a true story of Chris Gardner’s life as a salesmen turned successful stock broker.
Chris Gardner lived a tough, squalid, life. Sometimes he and his young son would sleep the night in bathrooms in San Francisco as Chris then went to work in the day. SEE THE MOVIE!
Over 30 years I’ve been biochemist/protein chemist and I’ve been laid off 4 times.
In the 1981-1982 recession, I traveled 2000 miles from NY to San Antonio TX. to look for work.
Why?? Because I had to provide for my family who stayed behind with relatives.
I lived in the Salvation Army for 1 MONTH until I had steady work and found an apartment. I know what it’s like to go “dumpster diving”.
Months later I received a better position as an assistant researcher at Baylor College of Medicine.
I CHOSE to do something better with my life like Chris Gardner. I COULD have stayed at the Salvation Army. I have seen men with listless eyes where for them it becomes a habit to stay and they do not and then can not break away.
