Omnicom profit rises 11%, matching expectations

LONDON (MarketWatch) — Marketing and corporate communications company Omnicom
Group Inc said Tuesday that its second-quarter net income rose 11% to $307
million, or 96 cents a share, from $276.7 million, or 84 cents a share, a year
earlier. Revenue for the quarter also rose 11% to $3.48 billion. Analysts polled
by FactSet were expecting earnings of 96 cents a share on revenue of $3.46
billion. The group said international revenue rose 17.7%, while domestic growth
was slower at 5.5% in the quarter.
