Why can’t we develop alt energy while using current, more affordable supplies.

Why do we always have to villify someone? Why can’t we let oil companies run their business and use our current resources to bring the price of alternative energy down to be more cost competitive.

While necessity is the mother of invention, if oil dried up tomorrow the US would go completely dark, and the development of alternative energy would SCREECH to a halt, because they couldn’t see in the dark or manufacture any of the equipment necessary, because wind and solar does not produce enough, and cannot currently produce enough to meet our needs.

Oil Slaves American, American needs alternative energy
We don’t like giant oil companies taking huge profit from the U.S consumer with low cost oil. We don’t like to be limited by the price of oil they set for us. We need alternative energy.

If we don’t like something, then we have to change it. Agreed it will be expensive at the outset, but as it gains traction and competition takes hold, choices will increase and price will stabilize. There will be growing pains like anything else, but that’s to be expected. Breaking from the status quo is never easy.
