Canada Hot Stocks: Gold Stocks Rise On On Higher Gold Price

Among the companies whose shares are making notable moves in Monday’s session are
Barrick Gold Corp. (ABX), Goldcorp Inc. (GG), Baja Mining Corp. (BAJ.T) and Open
Range Energy Corp. (ONR.T).
Gold companies Barrick Gold Corp. (ABX, C$45.33, C$1.27, 2.9%) and Goldcorp Inc.
(GG, C$41.63, C$0.83, 2.0%) are benefiting from higher gold prices Monday.
Baja Mining Corp. (BAJ.T, C$1.70, C$0.28, 20%) said it’s in confidential
discussions with a number of industry partners in regard to the funding of the El
Boleo Project in Santa Rosalia, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
GMP raised its target on Open Range Energy Corp. (ONR.T, C$4.70, C$0.40, 9.3%) to
C$6.25 from C$4.75 following the company’s acquisition of a 35-section land
position at Rough Creek.
